Most devs can only push pixels inside Elementor…
That’s the fear I hear from agencies every wk…
And honestly?
You’re right to worry…
Template-only builders are a problem
But that’s exactly what I’m not
Here’s how I work 👇
I use page builders only as the front end layer only when they serve the project
Everything else?
I extend with custom code — HTML, CSS, JS, PHP
That means
Complex layouts → built from scratch
Bespoke animations → coded, not dragged
Custom logic → engineered, not “hacked together”
Figma design tokens → replicated exactly, not “as close as the widget allows”
And when a builder can’t handle something?
I create custom components
Or go fully custom with Development…
No more “it can’t be done in Elementor.”
Because in my workflow, the design dictates the build, not the tool
You still get a CMS your client can safely use
But you also get originality, flexibility, and zero template fingerprints
End result ?
On-brand sites that look custom, feel custom, and are actually custom…. without sacrificing manageability
Don’t just go by what I say…
